Assigning a Responsible Attorney

After selecting the client, assign the Responsible Attorney for the matter. The originating attorney and responsible attorney have different purposes. The originating attorney is the user who created or opened the matter, while the responsible attorney is the user who will handle the matter and be responsible for the case.

To assign the responsible attorney, click the Responsible Attorney dropdown menu and select the appropriate user from the list. This ensures the matter is assigned to the correct attorney for management and follow-up.
